Our classic motorcycle service and overhaul books major on the 1930 to 1970 classic period, and we are adding some from the vintage period before 1930. We are reprinting the Pitman's Motorcyclists' Library series, very practical books on servicing and maintenance, now long out of print and commanding high prices even for old oil-stained copies, and we are compiling highly practical service and workshop manuals on motorcycles for which, so far as we know, full factory manuals were never issued.

All our books are POST FREE TO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. We do not charge extra for PayPal, and no other charges will be added on checkout. The price of the book is all you pay.

We prefer payment by PayPal but will also accept UK Postal Orders, Banker's Cheques and Personal Cheques in pounds sterling (GBP) drawn on a UK bank. ALL POSTAL ORDERS, BANKER'S CHEQUES AND PERSONAL CHEQUES MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO PETER WALLAGE. If you want to order by post and pay by cheque or postal order do NOT click 'Add to Cart'. Please click   HERE  for a postal order form. We regret we cannot accept credit cards direct.

UK orders are sent First Class post inside the UK. Overseas orders by airmail. Despatch is normally within 2-5 working days of receipt of order.

You will see from this page heading that Wallage Reprints is now the Wallage Reprints Division of Peter Wallage. This is because the previously three separate entities, Wallage Reprints, Wallage Books and Wallage Picture Library have been merged under the umbrella name of Peter Wallage to simplify administration and accounting.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CHEQUES AND POSTAL ORDERS MUST NOW BE MADE PAYABLE TO PETER WALLAGE

Service and Maintenance Manual for Vintage Villiers Engines up to 1936
In the 1920s and 1930s Villiers two-stroke engines powered a wide range of motorcycles plus countless lawn mowers, cultivators, compresors, pumps, lighting generators and so on. While these engines differed in crankcase mountings, cowlings and cooling fans from those used in motorcycles, the basic engines were the same, and this book is equally useful to owners restoring them. The small two-stroke is basically such a simple engine that if it fails to start or gives trouble its very simplicity makes fault tracing and curing often very puzzling. This book will help all owners of Vintage Villiers engines to restore and get the best from their engines. It was originally written by Cyril Grange and published by Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons in 1936. It has been remastered to A4 size and edited for this reprint edition by Peter Wallage.

Description and Care of BSA Motorcycles 1926-1927

Here's book for the vintage motorcycle enthusiast. It was first published in its second edition in 1927 by Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons and describes the 1926-1927 range of BSA Motorcycles with a supplement to cover the latest models and changes for the 1927 season. It has been remastered by us to A4. It has plenty of advice about riding and looking after vintage motorcycles including basic fault finding, servicing and maintenance. It is a delightful look back to the days of ridng on the open roads of the 1920s, and though the pages on regulations and legal matters are obviously out of date today they throw an interesting light on road signs and conditions at the time, and the attitude of the police towards speeed traps. A most useful book for owners of vintage BSAs.
A4, 119 pages, 56 illustrations. Soft covers.
